PKU Scientific Review Conference: February 22-23, 2012

 

NIH presented the PKU Scientific Review Conference: State of Science and Future Research Needs on February 22-23, 2012 in Bethesda, Maryland. This conference focused on reviewing the 2000 PKU Consensus Statements. Prior to the conference workgroups were created to address topics, like diet control and management, pharmacologic interventions, PKU interventions, as well as long-term outcomes and management in relation to PKU. Their discussions and conclusions were presented at the conference. All were welcome to attend, and public input from the conference will be incorporated into a report to address the state of science, recent research findings, and the future research needs for PKU.
